Accidents Happen

The exciting news first.  Dad got into a car accident on Wednesday, January 8th.  It was the other guys fault and luckily everyone was okay, but we're now in the market for a new ride.

The other guy couldn't stop due to the snow and rolled through a stop sign.  It could also have been due to the -11 degree weather...honestly who can even think when it's that cold out?

Graham is proficiently pulling up nowadays and crawling all over the house.

He's also starting to eat some solids, but can be quite picky.

PEEKABOO!

I've been a good girl lately and was rewarded with some awesome Hello Kitty headphones!

On January 12, the weather took a turn for the better so we headed to the park for some fresh air.

On Saturday 1/18 we headed over to Matthew's for dinner and a play date.  Graham and dad did some rough housing.

Matthew and I finished up the evening with our own face-painting.  Good thing it wasn't too permanent!

Oh...lastly, BobBob and Ta have turned crazy. They were at this protest march on January 17th. This happened about 200 yards from where they were. They're fine, but I told them to abstain from protests going forward as Graham and I need all the grandparents to return safely for future babysitting needs and birthday present requests.

③ ② ①...

Happy New Year!!!

It snowed before Christmas came so when I visited BobBob's house on 12/22, I offered up my services of snow removal.  For a fee of course...an early Christmas present!  I was rewarded with jewelry and shoes, just what every girl wants.

Mimi and Graham were both impressed with mom's balloon making talent.  Whoever brought the kit to the white elephant gift exchange, please know that we are making good use of it.

On Christmas Eve we dropped by Donna's house to open some presents before heading off to church.

Afterwards, we put out carrots for Santa's reindeer.  We were all eagerly anticipating his arrival (in our holiday jammies) and he did not disappoint!!!

We had a leisurely Christmas morning where we opened presents one at a time and played with things before moving on to the next item.  I even took some time out to snow blow (errr mow) the deck.

I got the Lalaloopsy doll I asked for compliments of Mimi!  Mom enjoys playing with it just as much as I do.

Christmas afternoon we headed out to the Duncan's house.  As you can see, they do it up.  That pile of presents is as tall as Uncle Ronnie!

We had a great time with lots of food and playing with Paige's toys.  Dad snapped a pic of the whole family.

On 12/26 we introduced Graham to his first real food.  Peas.  You can probably tell how much he enjoyed them by the hideous expression on his face.

That night dad decided to tackle putting together my Barbie beach house.  Let's just say it took a little while.

On Saturday, 12/28 I did a sleepover with Mimi.  Before I got home on Sunday, Graham visited with Great Gma Dard who is doing quite well.

And sadly, BobBob headed for Thailand on Tuesday 12/31 so he dropped Barley at our house the night before and gave us all big hugs before leaving town.  Tell Ta hi and eat lots of good food for us!!

Tuesday was New Year's Eve.  We decided to stay home since mom had to work and Graham hits the hay early.  My friend Matthew came over for a couple hours after school to help celebrate the big night before going home.

Dad put it best...we have been really blessed in 2013 to have Graham come into our lives!  We hope all of our friends and family have a wonderful New Year!
