Mobile Maddie

Tuesday, April 26th was a great day!  Dad picked me up early to go meet up with Mom, Deb, and Jeff for lunch.  I hadn't seen them since I was 3.5 months old.  Here I am admiring Deb's pretty necklace (hint hint dad).

After lunch, I got to see Gma's Duncan's friends who are visiting from Thailand for a month! Pa Ead, Na Peng, and Na Pairat are here and they showered me with gifts, clothes, and attention.  Na Honey didn't make the trip over, but even she sent me lots of new clothes!  In return I marveled them with my cuteness.  It's hard enough to understand mom and dad, but now I understand why Uncle Triche calls it Ching Chong Land (no offense Gma an other Thai relatives).  Gma and crew are road tripping it down to Florida for a couple weeks, so I won't get to see them again until they get back.  I promise to snap a lot more pics of them when I see them next!

On Wed, I got a visit from dad over lunch (he's been dropping by a lot since mom doesn't work as close by anymore).  He feeds me lunch and makes me laugh.  He officially witnessed me crawling 4 steps forward while there.  Avery's mom already warned my mom that she's going to start being a LOT busier now :-)

Since I'm almost crawling, mom, dad, and I spend some time in the basement each night now playing around on the floor.  I'm really digging it!

Thanks to my Aunt Jen, Uncle Chris, Audrey and Ingrid for this super sweet chair with my name on it!

Thursday was dinner with Dido and tomorrow I'm having dinner with BobBob.  2 grandpas, 2 feasts, 2 exciting!

Here I am with an old favorite toy:

I'm also learning that behind cabinet doors are some pretty fun things!

Lastly, I want to give a shout out to my good friend Jackson at daycare.  Today was his last day at school because he's moving a new house.  I'll miss him a lot but hope to see him once a month at our Sunday Get Togethers.

Little Bunny Foo Foo

Happy Easter!

I hope the Easter bunny left you some goodies like I got.

It has been a busy week for me and I'll try and recap quickly.  I'm near crawling, I can go from my tummy to sitting up, I drink from my sippy cup myself, and I've mastered the piano.

The biggest news of the week.  Uncle Dave is home from Djibouti as of Friday!  Now I know what you're thinking, that can't be a real place, but trust me, it is, and he's been there, honest (most comma's I've ever used in one sentence).  Anyway, mom and dad had brunch with him and his family on Saturday morning and it was great to get to meet him for the first time.  I have a feeling I'll be seeing a lot more of him over the next couple months.

The night before, Friday, April 22nd I went to visit Mimi.  I actually stayed the night up there!  It was the first time I've been away from mom and dad since their trip to Aruba.  The only time I cried was right when dad was leaving.  Otherwise, I hardly thought about them at all.  Mimi even bathed me in the sink.  It might not look like I was having fun, but I splashed and loved every second of it.

On Sunday, we went up to see Mimi and Max for Easter lunch.  I got up extra early today and as you can see from the pics, I'm a little worn out.  Dad came to wake me up from my afternoon nap and I hardly budged.

I played with my cousins Josh and Sam.  Here I am also making sure they floss regularly.

And then I'm checking out this cool new book I got.  The tiger has real wiskers I can touch!!!  It's sad that they had to kill a tiger to get his wiskers in the book, but hey, more fun for me.

Some random tidbits for you.  Hummas is my new favorite food, especially when served on pita chips.

Do I have something on my face?

And saving the best for last, look what Grandpa BobBob made for me.  That's right, MADE for me!  He cross stiched this.  Apparently it only took him almost 9 months (officially on Saturday, April 30 but who's counting).  Better late than never right?

Here I am almost crawling!

Some + More = S'more

A whole week + has gone by since my last post.  Apologies...life is rough.  And woe is me.

On Monday, April 11, mom started at her new office. Dad offered to take me in to school so she'd start her new day off on time. We made a surprise pit stop for breakfast and who was waiting but Dido! Awesome! I even got to sit at a restaurant high chair for the first time ever. Awesome #2!

Mom took Tuesday off to pick me up early again.  We did the usual.  Grandma and Gramps' house.  Ugh it gets so boring riding on tractor, going for stroller rides, getting showered with attention...

BobBob pushed me to sleep
On Wednesday, mom wasn't feeling so well so dad and I had quite a bit of 1 on 1 time that night.  This continued on to Thurs, Fri, Sat...

Mom finally took off work on Friday April 15.  She self diagnosed her Strep Throat and she was able to get some antibiotics that are making her feel all better.

Friday night mom and dad were supposed to go out and celebrate their annivesary, but they postponed until this coming weekend.  Woe is them.  Needless to say, dad is awesome and took care of me so mom could nap a lot.

Here I am, sharing a bottle with dad:

Sunday was beautiful and mom was finally getting back to normal! We started the day by doing the Trolley Trail Run. I set my personal best.  Fourty minutes of sleeping in the stroller...not too shabby.  Here I am with my bib number.

Afterwards, I helped with yardwork as usual. This time my job was to keep Porter busy, so we played with a tennis ball for a while.

Sunday evening I went back out to Gma and Gpa's.  You can really see it here, but we toasted marshmallows to make S'mores!  Of course I didn't any, but the smoke and fire were pretty cool!

Special Delivery

So I don't really feel like I've done a lot since my Tuesday post, but apparently I've taken 1001 pictures.

First of all, look what the mail man dropped off!  Me :-)

On Friday mom and dad picked up the sweet new toy for me to play with!  Here I am taking it for a spin.

Since it was gorgeous outside, we decided to do dinner on the deck.  Here I am chowing down on an orange slice.  Sweet...one tooth means I don't have to floss yet.

On Saturday I went and visited my friend Amelia.  She let me share her toys and we did a lot of catching up since it's been awhile since we've seen each other.

Sunday, April 10th was a busy day!  I had breakfast with the all of dad's friends and their kids at 8am sharp.  We took the restaurant by storm.  After that I helped do some yard work.  Mom and dad are having me observe closely as they expect me to be pushing the mower by age 5.  In the afternoon we dropped by mom's new office since she's working in a new building as of Monday.  I even gave her chair a spin.  The we went out to Bobob and Ta's.  I went for a ride on Pierce's 4 wheeler.  It was the perfect size for dad and me!

Apparently Porter and Sam thought it was a pretty long day too!

April Fools

Friday, April 1st was a beautiful day.  After school the family headed over for a lap around the park. I even went for my first swing ride.  Amelia must have had the same idea, becuase I saw her picks on the swing as well.

Saturday night, mom and dad had tickets to go see Cabaret so BobBob and Ta dropped by to watch me for the evening.  I wasn't quite my usual self, but I definitely enjoyed the walk they took me on.  Still trying to get over this crappy cold/cough and I was running a fever.  On Sunday night dad and I went to see Grandpa Dido.  He made us some ribs and slaw while mom stayed home for some R&R.

I went to bed early on Sunday and woke up late on Monday, two great combinations.  I was so tired I even fell back asleep on the way to school. Then Mimi dropped by around lunch and picked me early!  She brought me home and we hung out the whole afternoon.  She filled me in on her trip up to DC to see cousins Audrey and Ingrid.

Tuesday morning I woke up bright and early even though it wasn't bright out yet.  6am.  What the hey?  After getting up and getting dressed, mom walked me over to the church on the corner so we could vote on the Earnings Tax issue.  Then she dropped me at school even though she was taking the whole day off.  Another what the hey?  She promised to come get me as soon as she was done with yard work though.  We're headed to Gma and Gpa Duncan's house for some outside time, stroller rides, and to watch the dogs go for a swim!
