Just Right

Monday 11/21. In case you didn't know, babies aren't really born ticklish. But, at some point in the last month or two, I've really taken a liking to getting tickled under my arms:

In preparation for my Thailand trip, mom and dad borrowed some headphones from a friend.  I'm ready to rock and roll!

Wednesday we killed some time playing foosball, a trip to the park where I had the whole playground to myself, and a spin in my new mittens.
Thanksgiving morning was a gorgeous one and we made a morning trip to the playground to burn off some energy.  As you can see, timing on this picture was perfect to catch sammy taking a #2.  I blame this one on dad.

After outdoor playtime, the cousins were in town and came over early to take a nap with me.  After nap time, we all played outside and enjoyed some snackie foods.  Aunt Jen and BobBob even took turns reading me books!
Before dinner was served we did some more playing in the basement with Audrey, Ingrid, and Pierce.  The only one who didn't join in was Paige.

Here I am helping mom prep the food and a good pic of BobBob carving the turkey.
The dinner itself for me was average.  I prefer goldfish and applesauce.
After dinner we had picture time, some more playtime, and some early Christmas gifts for Audrey/Ingrid.

On Friday morning we woke up and headed to the lake to do some yard work.  Boy were there a lot of leaves.  I did my share of the work picking up acorns off the deck.

After the yard work was done, we went for my very first boat ride.  As you can see by the trepedition on my face, I wasn't keen on the idea of mom driving me in a boat.

To kill some time on Saturday night, we took a trip to the mall and rode some cars.  Mom even took a ride with me.

While I was there, I looked at lots of pillows.  The first was too cold, the next was too hot, the third was too soft, and the last one was too hard.  I couldn't find a pillow that was just right.
I did find a toy that was just right however.  But then again, all toys are just right!

Sunday morning dad wasn't feeling too well so I had breakfast with Auntie 'Cole, then visited Pierce and Paige (yes I'm a whole head taller than she is), then had dinner with BobBob and GGma Dard.

I'll leave you with this favorite Thanksgiving day song in the back of your head:

Turkey for the girls and
Turkey for the boys
My favorite kind of pants
Are corduroys
Gobble gobble goo and
Gobble gobble gickel
I wish turkey
Only cost a nickel
Oh I love turkey on Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

To Infinity and Beyond

Monday, November 14th Mimi came down to spend the day with me.  We went to a Gymboree class where I marveled her with my ability to be disinterested in any organized activity.  These pics below were actually taken when Mom and I went to class, but you get the gist.

What is this girl doing trying to weasel into my shot?

My stocking hat also doubles as a beret.  Here I am channeling a very frenchie look.

Thursday, November 17th was BobBob's birthday.  We took the day off on Friday and headed over to spend time with him and cook him dinner.  Mom's faux pas (how do you pluralize that?) were forgetting to take pics and forgetting the cake at the store.  Oops!  Happy Birthday BobBob.

Friday night we put up the tree.  We is a loose term considering I was in bed already.  Dad was set to use some WD40 to make sure he could get the tree apart, but I guess in a jam, Pam will do.
Mom's favorite part of putting up the tree?  Harassing the cats of course!

On Saturday we headed to breakfast with Uncle Dave.  The stackers game concept is still a bit of a challenge for me.  As you can see here I try to stack them in my mouth occasionally.

Saturday evening I headed up to Mimi and Max's house.  It was sleepover night!  I had a really great time and didn't miss mom and dad once.  It helped that Mimi gave me cookies and candy and soda and ice cream, but shhhh...don't tell.  Thanks for a fun night Mimi!!!

Sunday morning I headed to the gym where I got to play with Mrs. Michele and Mrs. Amber's kids.  Even dad and BobBob joined in on the play date and afterwards we celebrated BobBob's birthday the right way....with cake!!!

Do I have food on my face again?

After my nap, I cuddled with gramps and Mr. Koala.  His lap is nice and cozy.
Nothing ends the day like a trip to Walmart and dinner out.

By the way, grandpa thinks I should be an astronaut judging by my affinity for packaged food you can drink through a straw.
