11 Down, 1 to Go

Today I'm 11.  Months that is.  This morning I got up and mom couldn't wait to give me my 1 year birthday present, so I got it early.  It's a Chomp and Clack Alligator Push Toy!

It's been awhile since we last chatted. Backtracking to last week...Dido dropped by and let me play with his Mustache!  I hit up swim lesson with dad for the first time and showed him my "Mad Dog paddle" swimming skills.  You can see our friend Wil was pretty tired.

On Thursday, June 23rd, Mr. Schnetzer came over to give me some loving.  Nicole joined us later and they headed to dinner to revel in stories from Pat's Mt. Rainer climb while I slept like a baby (pun intended).

On Friday, we went to a neighborhood party.  See the pool behind me?  We weren't however invited to use that.  Afterwards, Natasha and Tye from mom's work stopped by to say hi to me before I went to bed.  Somehow they got a snapshot with Porter but not me?

Saturday we hit up the neighborhood pool.  It's just my size!  At one end it's 1 foot deep and the other is 2 feet deep.  I almost had the whole pool to myself.  That evening we dropped by dad's old neighbor's house for a Ferrari party.  I was hoping for a bunch of toy sized cars to play with, but that wasn't the case.  I did wear my ice cream cone shirt that Mimi bought me and had hopes of eating it with a spoon, also not the case.  At the end of the night I somehow ended up on the kitchen floor naked.  To think, I hadn't even had 1 beer yet!

Sunday, June 26th was a visit to cousin Pierce's pool.  Grandpa Bob swam me around quite a bit.  Then it was back to his house to visit Great Great Aunt Irene and GG Uncle Don.  She let me play with her dangly earrings.  Winner!

The only other item of note since then was swim lessons on Wednesday.  It was actually Amelia's idea to fore-go the lesson part and instead just do play swim in the outdoor pool.  Ten degrees warmer and 10 times the fun!

Here's a few extra pics from Saturday.

Big thanks to Aunt Angie and Gma Donna for the awesome TuTu!

Life's a Picnic

On Wednesday night, June 15th, I had swim lessons and guess who showed up...BobBob and Ta!  Grandpa even got in the pool to swim with me.

I was so tired that I didn't wake when mom brought me in the house and set me in my high chair.  She actually had to give me a bath first to wake me up so I'd eat dinner :-)

Dad got home Friday night just in time to pick me up from daycare!  A whole week without dad time was brutal.  To celebrate, on Saturday we had a picnic in the front yard before heading to the lake for the weekend.

We arrived at the lake late Saturday night and spent Father's Day Sunday swimming in a kid pool and playing with awesome Omagles.  This set was from when Mom was just a youngin'.  Who knew BobBob and Ta were so hip to foster "Free Play" which is supposed to be really good for me and boosts my creativity?  It kept dad busy for a good couple hours as well!  Note - please don't judge my beer belly (see below), afterall...I am at the lake.

You can see who has the upper hand in the family.

Saturday morning we didn't swim officially in the lake, but we did swim in lake water...in the kiddie pool on the dock!  I did borrow this cute suit from Avery Davenport.  Thanks friend!  You can also see that dad made me a makeshift cabana.  So chic!

And by Saturday afternoon we were ready to "put in" at the neighbors boat launch.

I can walk behind my push toy on my own now.

Backtracking to Thursday, Mom and I totally made the nightly news! Article and video (2nd video). Okay so they darn people didn't put my face on, but I'm sitting in the stroller.

The Letter C: Cookie Monster, Crabs, and Cough

First off, apologies for the lengthy post.  I've accumulated a wealth of photos and stock footage of my new mobilities over the past week.  If it's too much to read, just do what mom does with her US Weekly and gloss over the pics.

The weekend was a little rough on me.  I picked up a cough that keeps me up at night.  Mom took me to the doc Friday just to be sure I didn't have an ear infection, but I got the all clear.  Regardless, I still felt kind of crummy.  The highlights were seeing daycare teacher Lindsay on Friday night while mom and dad had date night and visiting with Jayson and Jen from church and getting to do a little outside BBQ with them on Saturday evening.

Dad left town on Sunday evening and doesn't get back until Friday morning.  I assume he'll drop by to see me at lunch on Fri (hint hint).  In the afternoon I headed over to see BobBob and Ta.  Aunt Brandi and the fam was over there and she looked like she could pop.  Apparently there's a baby in her belly.  What the what?  I also picnic'ed outside with grandpa.  I had a good time until about 5:30pm and then I just petered out.  Mom packed me up early and I was asleep in the car before we even left the driveway.

To help remind mom how valuable dad is to have around the house, I woke her up at 2am on Monday morning with my cough and made her rock me back to sleep for half an hour :-) Since I only slept for 30 minutes at daycare, I napped for an hour and a half when I got home from school on Monday, and when I woke up, "Auntie" Nicole was there to greet me.  She educated me on the fun qualities of talking cookie monster.

On Tuesday, June 14th we went out to visit BobBob and gave him an early Father's Day gift since we won't see him on Sunday.  I helped him unwrap it.  Grandma took me to the Asian food market where I got to play with crabs (shout out to Mike D).

Wednesday Mimi came to seem me in the afternoon.
Here's me and my "big girl" walk.  I'm down to one handed support!

Here's some footage of me pulling up and sitting down. I've been doing this for awhile, but mom and dad forgot to tape.

Here's me and my bud Matthew from school.  Love his shorts!

Here are a few pics from when I had my J Todd Photo shoot a month + 2 weeks ago.
