My first attempt at communicating (other than saying mom and dad and crying to get what I want) has turned out to be rather successful.  I'm also working on saying bubbles and diaper.

Uncle Dave dropped by early last week.  We definitely see eye to eye.  And he thinks I'm a great driver as I didn't run off the sidewalk once.

On Thursday, Mimi picked me up from school early for no reason at all!  We played and spent a ton of time outside.
That night mom and dad left me with a babysitter so they could go to Vegabond for dinner.  They said their 7 course meal was pretty good, but don't try and make reservations because it appears they're already out of business after only 5 days.  That seems dumb.

Saturday (8/27) morning we headed to breakfast and met up with Emmerson Schatz.  She got her own breakfast but I had to share with mom and dad.  Boo.

In the afternoon we made our way to Trader Joe's (why do I always want to say Trader Vic's??) and I picked out some pretty flowers for mom.

We hit up Nordstrom on the way to Evan and Zack Ungler's house.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE all the mirrors, open spaces to run, and climbing toys (furniture, stairs, and shoe fitting stools).
The Ungle's house was the usual good time.  Food, friends, and fun everywhere!
Sunday we took a walk to the coffee shop before heading to Gma and Gpa's.
BobBob tried to take me to the pool, but it was closed.  No tears though because they installed an above ground pool for me!  Seems like it should be a little bigger, right?
Then Gma showed me a wild bunny that lives in her flowers.  I even got to touch it.  Pretty sweet.

Last of all, I got my passport in the mail.  Finally.  Thailand, here I come!!!!  But first stop, Florida.  More to come!

I'm on a Boat

As you know, I was sick a bit last week and got to stay home on Wed, but I'm all better now.  Before we headed to the lake over the weekend, Grandpa BobBob picked up a new battery for the boat.  Here I am getting "recharged".  Afterwards, the grandparents let me have some popsicle.  Yummy!!!

I had a pretty good time and got to play with grandpa.  I fed him some water from a glass:

I usually fall asleep after an afternoon with grandma and grandpa.  Here's the typical car configuration for the ride home...

Me in my seat.

My older sister in the front.

And my brother behind mom.

At school on Friday I tripped over my mat and got my first owie on my lower lip.  You can't really see it in the left photo, but I'm definitely getting mom's eye color and won't have dad's pretty blues.

Here I am playing with bubbles.  These can enthrall me for hours:

At the lake we found me a new pet.  Just kidding about the pet part.

Here I am out on the water.  I even strapped on my old captain's hat.
Then we tried a new Mexican restaurant.  They have margarita's bigger than my head!  Of course I couldn't finish the whole thing so I had to share with dad.
Mom and dad are most likely heading to Thailand at the end of the year.  They're considering shipping me over ahead of time.  Box seems roomy enough for me, some animal crackers, and toys.  Works for me!

On Sunday, Aug 21 we headed to Ava and Luke Bates' house for our monthly get together.  I thought I had a lot of toys, but holy schmoly was I wrong.

Uncle Dave came over for dinner tonight, but the pic mom snapped was fuzzy.  We'll get his pearly whites next go round.  He did snap some fam photos of us since mom was supposed to send one to my new room at school and realized all 3 of us are NEVER in any pics.
On a final note, dad was considering starting me in on the whole golf or tennis idea so I can be a child prodigy at the age of 8, but that could get expensive.  So, we're starting foosball lesson's next week.  They figure I'll be able to head to the bars around my 5th birthday to start hustling for my college fund.
Post title is a tribute to The Lonely Island.

The Cousins

First off, Mr. Jason Triche shared this awesome video with me.  I want to in turn share it with everyone else because it's the coolest thing I've seen on the netterweb in the year I've been around!

It's been a jam packed week!  Monday, 8/8 I started transitioning to my new classroom at school.  I'm in a Toddler room (ages 1-2) instead of an Infant room.  The toys are bigger and there's more room to run around!  I did well all last week and officially started full time on 8/15.
Here I am Rockin' Out:

And they have a huge gym area where I can play in a house with a slide.
And they let me drive a car.  That's new too...I got my Driver's License.  I did so well driving that mom and dad got me my own car!

Mom and dad finally put me forward facing in the car!  I love the sweet view.

On Wed, I went up to L Town to visit my cousins Ingrid and Audrey in from DC.  Dad forgot the camera so unfortunately no pics.

Friday night the "adults" went out to an art gallery show.  I of course didn't join, but wanted to share some footage of show.  Women in cage singing = Art?  Glad I stayed home.

On Saturday, mom took me for a jog since the weather has cooled. Uncle Dave and I split a cup of coffee.   And yes, he was ogling those 8 year olds.  Weird.

Saturday evening we hung with the cousins again.  This time I remembered the camera!  And I was nice enough to share my toys with Miss Ingrid.

On Sunday, August 14th, the fam headed to the ZOOOOOOOO!  The animals looked just like my picture books.  The best part was, we rode the ski/zoo lift!

Good arial view!

Dad worked on Sunday so there was more swimming with the Duncans.  Pierce even let me push him around in the stroller!

Monday night, the Longs headed back to our place before traveling back to DC.  We had a good time and enjoyed some finger lickin' good barbeque!

I love me some Okie Joe's!!!

Post Script: I came home sick yesterday (slight fever from teething maybe) and get a SNOW DAY with mom!  Sweet sweet hump day.
