Uhhhh....unless it's your birthday. Let me tell you, Graham was not lonely on his first birthday. He got lots of attention, new birthday toys, and a party just for him on April 30th. And a few days later on Friday, May 2nd he started taking his first steps!
Of course we told him to smash the cake, but he wouldn't do it:
The next day he had a traumatic 1 year check up at the doctor, complete with shots and lead and iron levels test. He weighted in at 21 lbs, 29.5 inches tall, and has an 18.5 inch noggin. Let's just say his height and weight is average, but his head is bigger than average.
On Saturday, May 3rd, Mason invited me to a Stranger Danger class where he learns martial arts. It was pretty awesome and I wanted to join and buy my own uniform right away. Mom declined (go figure, no fun).
Here's some footage of me breaking a board in half. No joke.
Later that evening we walked to the art fare where I got my face painted. Then Libby dropped by and we made cookies together. Not all of the dough made it into the oven.
When we got home, Uncle Dave (who we saw at the art fair) sent this message to dad. I really gotta be more careful.
On Friday, 5/9 I went on an airplane ride to go see cousins Audrey and Ingrid! It was Audrey's birthday and her first communion, so dad and I went up to help her celebrate. Dad must have let me eat my lunch on the Parking Spot bus...and I don't remember sharing any with Dido...get your own lunch gramps!
On Monday, May 12th, Grahammy moved up to the next room. He had a hard time that first day, but he was already doing better by Tuesday. In fact it was Spaghetti day and he LOVES his pasta and he got to do some painting, which he was not too fond of.
Here's some other pics mom took over the past few days:
