Movin' On Up

It seems like moving is all the rage lately.  The Smiths, the Steffens, and the Roue's are all in the process of moving to a new place so I figured I'd jump in on that band wagon.  I'm moving classrooms!  I wasn't really supposed to go to my new class until some time in July, but my teacher thought I was ready for bigger and better things.  My schedule is basically the same, but my new room is twice the size and the toys are even better!

But first lets back track a little.  Dad headed to the lake on Saturday, April 21st to do some yard work so mom and I spent the morning at Crown Center.  The highlight was sharing my popcorn with the birdies out by the fountain!

Afterwards we bought some more flowers for the yard.

Dad was back that afternoon so on Sunday we all went to the zoo together!  It was chilly, but still a good time.  The tigers were even awake this time.

Mom met Kellie Nass and her little babe Lukas for lunch on Tuesday.  He's a cutie and I'll definitely have to keep my eye on him.  Notice he has already perfected the pouty lip at age 10 weeks.

Uncle Dave headed over Tuesday evening and we had ice cream at this new place down the street.  It was scrumptious!  He even let me take his motorcycle out for a spin...ah just kidding.

My first transitional day was Tuesday, April 24th.  Most kids do a couple hours in the morning and another couple in the afternoon, but I did so well my old teacher left me their all day.  I only cried once when Miss Nancy brought my blanket over from my old room for my nap time.  I clung to her leg and wanted to go back to see my other friends, but my new teachers quickly consoled me and persuaded me to stick it out.  Here's a bunch of pics from my first week at my new class.

I wanted to make sure you could pick me out of the crowd...

Only a week in my new class and I already know how to sing my ABC's!

Other highlights...Mimi picked me up early on Friday and we headed to the park.  The teetering horsey even gave me a kiss!

I'm up to size 4 diapers.

I had my first lollipop.

And I shared Paige's binky.

Flower Child

Time seems to really be flying by.  Dido and Uncle Dave dropped by for dinner on Tuesday, April 10th.  I've got the whole fork thing down, but using the spoon, especially to eat rice, can be a little challenging.  It's hard for me so I can't even imagine how the Asians do it with chopsticks?!?

Dad headed out of town on Saturday so mom and I killed some time at Wonderscope before heading out to Gma/Gpa's house.
Here I am doing some grocery shopping:

Ta had a lot more yard work for me to help with.

On Tuesday the 17th I mastered the swing.  I still need a push to get me going, but I can balance all by myself.
That night was just me and dad since mom had Cousin Pierce's school play to go to.  He was a chicken in "The Carnival of the Animals".
When mom picked me up on Wednesday, my finger had a booboo.  I was fighting over a toy with a kid from the playground and my fingernail tore off.  I was a trooper and only cried for a few seconds so the teacher threw on a bandaid (I wasn't bleeding) and called it good.  I'll spare you a pic of my finger without the nail.  It even makes dad squimish.

After school we headed to the park.  We visited a glorious fountain and rose garden in addition to the usual duck pond and playground.
Note - I'm getting very good at shoulder rides and can almost do it without mom holding on to me.

On Thursday night mom and dad celebrated their wedding anniversary (a day late) so Libby put me to bed.
