Snug as a Bug

We've been heading to the lake almost every weekend this summer which is awesome.  Graham has started jumping off the dock and doesn't need anyone to catch him.  Graham and I have also started sharing a bed even though there's a trundle right next to it.  I guess we'll have 2 guest rooms at the new house!

My first day at the new school by the new house was on Tuesday, August 16th.  Mom keeps saying that seems really early and she didn't start school until closer to the end of the month.  Mom had some homework to do before school even started.  Individually labeling 96 crayons!!!  Seems pretty dumb.

The first day went well and I love my new teacher (Miss Avery).  She even lets us play with iPads sometimes.  I made new friends (not the bear) and wasn't nervous a single bit.

The weather has finally cooled down and we made it back to the park.  The geese and ducks were in full force.

And so was this awesome drum group.

Progress on the new house is slow and steady!  They've installed the HVAC, the front porch, and windows and doors!

Just Keep Swimming

On Independence Day we headed over the new 'hood to join in on a bike parade.  We met a ton of the new neighbors.  Apparently there are like 20 kids on the street and mom and dad think they'll fit in pretty well...there were a couple houses partaking in bloody mary's and wine at 11am.  Their kind of people!  Then we headed over to Steffen's house in the evening to eat and watch the fireworks.

We seem to be spending every spare moment at the pool.  Either Uncle Ronnie's house, the lake, or dad's gym pool.  I've gotten pretty proficient at swimming and can go off the diving board with NO lifejacket!  Mental note - get some pics of that.

Mom had her 20th high school reunion and loves seeing Amber and Michele who she's know since Jr High.

Uncle Ronnie had his 44th birthday!

The new house is progressing nicely.  The roof was supposed to go on Thursday 7/21 but they're a few days behind so hopefully this Tuesday 7/26 instead.

To a Tee

In case you haven't noticed it's been super hot lately.  So hot that BobBob broke out the Slip and Slide.

The house project is coming along as schedule.  Framing started this week.  We continue to add pics to the House Build page as we go.  We did get a chance to climb Mt Ludlow in the back yard.

Cousin Pierce's birthday party was on June 11th.  We missed it but did get a bowl of homemade ice cream!

Graham has been officially potty trained for a few months but just learned that as a boy he can pee outside.  He loves loves loves peeing on trees.

The long cousins made it to town again and got to enjoy a few days at the lake with us.  Check out our matching swimsuits (totally unplanned no joke)!  Dido came with us too which was loads of fun.

Wednesday, June 22nd was our first tee ball game.  Gman cried as per usual and mom took him home early.  However I was a rockstar.  Hit like a champ and fielded the ball twice to throw it to first for 2 tag outs.

Sadly, Jesus the cat passed away at the ripe age of 18ish on Father's Day, June 19th.  She will be sorely missed by the family.  We are now officially catless...and litterboxless.
