Fit for a Queen

Last Saturday was a busy day.  Dad took me to swim lessons and built me a fort when we got home.  I zonked out under the fort right away, before I even had time to eat lunch.  I think I was still getting over my bit of the flu.

That afternoon, Dad deconstructed my crib and put together...wait for it...wait for it....my new QUEEN SIZED BED!  I am 2 1/2 after all, so it's about time.

 

I love it! I slept in it for the first time Saturday night, February 16th and I did really well.  I went to bed as usual about 8:30, woke with a dry diaper around 5am and yelled to go potty and then went back to sleep until 8am!  I did however wake with some crazy bed head.  Mom and dad love the bed too because they can climb in with me and read me stories and snuggle before I go to sleep.

 

Some other fun happenings for the week...Sunday we headed out to see BobBob and Ta, I got a new Curious George Bingo game, I got to be lazy on the couch, and had watermelon slushes.

 

Wednesday night, mom snuck in and took a couple picks of me before she headed to bed.  She thought the monkey sleeping on my chest was pretty cute. 

The big blizzard hit on Thursday, 2/21.  I got the day off from school and both mom and dad stayed home to entertain me. It was so bad dad shoveled the driveway twice!  We spent most of the day in our jammies and dad built another fort and even Porter wanted to join in.

 

Other big news.  Baby Brother's room is finally finsihed!!!  The last pieces were getting the door hung.  Looks pretty good doesn't it?

Baby Bro's crib got delivered during the blizzard so we went ahead and put that together and it's a perfect fit for his teeny tiny room.
